Finding old friends on the web
Hi, can you suggest any way I can trace and contact old friends frommy younger days? I was born in Luton in 1958, my name was Dianne Payne (now Dallison). I went to The Meads Infant School in Calverton Road, then Icknield Junior School, and Denbigh High School. After leaving Denbigh I went to Barnfield College for a year studying Art. I then worked in Woolworths in the Arndale, and briefly in Ratners the jewellers before marrying Robert Walden-Bevan in 1977 and leaving Luton for good! If anyone from any school or job remembers me (or my friend Debbie Smith) please contact me!! Thank you, Dianne :)
World War II memories
I received an email from Bill Hawksford who has some fascinating stories to tell about his experiences as a soldier during the second world war! Bill was born in Luton and now lives in New York! I am compiling the stories and soon you will be able to read them in the history section of the site!
